SUMMARY:6th Annual Dynamic Duo 3 Mile XC Race
DESCRIPTION:Download Entry Form \nThe Dynamic Duo is a totally unique race to this area and held on the Bucksport High School XC course. The format has male / female partners each running 3 miles as a relay team. Categories are determined by combined ages and places are determined by combined time. Each runner gets an individual time as well and each duo age group winner wins a prize. The course is almost entirely groomed crushed gravel trail and starts and finishes on the H.S. Football field. The race is a fundraiser for the Bucksport High School XC team and costs $20 per couple. The race starts at 8AM and registration begins at 7AM at the football field. DESCRIPTION:Bangor YMCA presents the 5th annual “Tri for the Y” sprint triathlon and sprint duathlon. \nJoin us at Bangor YMCA’s Wilderness Center at Camp Jordan for this “Old School” sprint triathlon and sprint duathlon on Sunday August 28th. \nTriathlon is 750meter swim in pristine Branch Lake\, 20K bike on the hilly dirt roads around Branch Lake\, and 5 K run through the woods. \nDuathlon is 5K run through the woods on the tri-course\, 20K bike on the tri-course\, 2.5k run through the woods. \nThis is an “Old School” event! Before Tri-bikes existed triathlon was raced on road bikes or street bikes or hybrid bikes. So\, leave your fancy Tri-bike at home!  And bring your spring-trainer beater-road bike or your hybrid-bike or your cyclocross bike or your mountain bike! This is NOT for nice bikes. The bike portion is on some paved roads but mostly compressed dirt\, so leave your skinny tires at home ! Come have fun at this throwback event ! \nBoth events occur simultaneously.
