DESCRIPTION:Download Entry Form \nThe Dynamic Duo is a totally unique race to this area and held on the Bucksport High School XC course. The format has male / female partners each running 3 miles as a relay team. Categories are determined by combined ages and places are determined by combined time. Each runner gets an individual time as well and each duo age group winner wins a prize. The course is almost entirely groomed crushed gravel trail and starts and finishes on the H.S. Football field. The race is a fundraiser for the Bucksport High School XC team and costs $20 per couple. The race starts at 8AM and registration begins at 7AM at the football field. Turn right headed east onto Norris Hill Road.  Turn left headed north on Academy Street (away from Monmouth Academy) for .4 miles.  Turn around barrel back down south towards Monmouth Academy/Monmouth Fairgrounds.  Turn onto Monmouth Fairgrounds follow chute toward finish. \nParking: Parking available on the Fairgrounds or at Monmouth Academy or Monmouth Middle School.  Parking is available at Monmouth Fairgrounds will be limited to up to 10 minutes before race and after all finishers have crossed. \nAwards: Prize money will be awarded to the top Male finisher ($75) and Top Female finisher ($75). There will also be an award to the top finisher in each age group for each gender. \nRaffle: There will be a raffle of donated items at the awards ceremony. \nT-shirts: The first 50 entrants by 7/17/2015 will receive a race t-shirt. \nTiming: Timing will be provided by Lakers Timing.

DESCRIPTION:Trekkers’ 3rd Annual Thomaston Trek 5K/10K Run & 5K Walk on June 5 \nTHOMASTON\, MAINE – Trekkers will host the 3rd Annual Thomaston Trek 5K/10K Run & 5K Walk on Sunday\, June 5. This year’s event will start and finish at the Thomaston Academy/Thomaston Public Library\, located at 60 Main Street in Thomaston. The family-friendly fundraiser is perfect for all ages and all levels of walkers or runners. This year’s lead sponsor for Thomaston Trek is First National Bank. \nAdvance online registration for Thomaston Trek is $25 per person at www.active.com. The registration fee on the day of the race will be $30. Registration includes a free event T-shirt and post-run pancake breakfast at The Slipway Restaurant\, located near the Public Landing in Thomaston.  A prize will be awarded for the winners in designated age categories (male and female: 13-25; 26-40; 41-55; 55+) in both running distances. A trophy will also be presented to the fastest runner 12 years of age and under. \nCheck-in and registration will take place from 7:30–8:00am. The race begins at 8:30am and will be held rain or shine. Parking for the run/walk will be available at the Thomaston Academy/Thomaston Public Library. Additional parking will be available at the St. James Church\, immediately adjacent to the Academy with an entrance on Gleason Street. \nRoutes for both the 5K and 10K wind through the historic residential streets of Thomaston. There will be water stations and intersection volunteers to direct runners and walkers along the entire route. \nThomaston Trek is open to the public. Community members are encouraged to participate in the 5K/10K\, and attend the pancake breakfast from 8:30–10:30am at The Slipway Restaurant. The breakfast is free for registrants. Non-race participants are welcome to attend the pancake breakfast for a $5 donation. Proceeds from the event will benefit Trekkers’ programs for local youth. \nTrekkers is a non-profit\, outdoor-based mentoring program that connects young people with caring adults through expeditionary learning\, community service and adventure-based education. SUMMARY:100 Years of Brewer Track Celebration and XC/Track Reunion
DESCRIPTION:Attention all former Brewer High alumni who participated in outdoor track\, indoor track\, or cross country during their high school years.  2016 is the 100th anniversary of the first outdoor track team at Brewer High School and we are throwing a celebration for the ages!  Come join us and reconnect with “Orange Crush” and “Orange Wave” teammates and socialize with athletes from other generations that share a connection to the programs.  Take in (and for the brave compete in) a Brewer home meet\, participate in ceremonies honoring Brewer High school record holders\, and attend a potluck dinner in our newly renovated cafeteria.  Below is a timeline of events. \n10:00 AM – Recognize senior athletes on 2016 Brewer High Outdoor Track Team \n10:30 AM – Recognize Brewer High Outdoor Track School Record Holders \n10:45 AM – Parade of athletes by decade \n11:00 AM – Track meet begins (Brewer vs Dexter\, Hermon\, MDI\, PCHS\, Narraguagus) – alumni events include 100m dash\, mile run\, shot put\, long jump\, 4x100m relay\, 4x400m relay \n4:00 – 6:00 PM – Potluck dinner in Brewer High cafeteria \nFor more information\, contact Glendon Rand (Class of 1980) at grand@breweredu.org or 207-852-8891.
