What: The Polar Bear Dip & Dash is a 5k race along Portland’s Back Cove Trail held every year on December 31st in snow, rain, or shine followed by a dip into Casco Bay at Portland’s East End Beach. It is a wildly fun event! The event includes festive music at the 5k finish line, warm drinks and snacks, polar bear costumes, and screaming mayhem!
Why: The Polar Bear Dip & Dash raises fund for NRCM’s work reducing carbon pollution and curbing climate change. NRCM is Maine’s leading environmental advocacy organization and we are making headway in our efforts to curb climate change. We work every day to boost energy efficiency, promote clean energy sources, and increase clean air in Maine.
